Hey [25 Apr 2010|10:16pm]

Hey, I'm Hannah, living in the suburbs of Detroit, MI. I'm 15 and looking to meet other bi and lesbian people around my age... so if you're a bi/les girl between the ages of 14 and 17, add me as a friend so we can chat sometime. :)

Hi everyone,

I have a year's worth of back issues of Lesbian Connection and What Helen Heard that I don't need, but I don't want to just throw them out. Does anyone want them, or know of a group or organization that would take them? (I'm in Traverse City, btw).

Thanks for any suggestions. :)

Question to everyone... [26 Jun 2006|07:53pm]

How do you tell your best friend is little brother is gay? His brother kind of came out to me and I'm not sure if I should tell or I should just be all like "Yeah, cool" I don't know I mean I think he came out to me because he knows I'm not staright and that he wanted someone who knows how it can be and such but I don't really know what I should do. Should I give his brother and my best friend a heads up or should I just let it go?

Hmm...I don't really know what to say...cool comunity. I'm a girl? Is that okay? I'm bisexual and I live near oh god I don't know clarkston? Yeah that's fairly close don't want to give out my excate city I'm paranoid. But anyway...I'm 18 and I saw this and I thought I would join because it seemed cool and I don't know a lot of people that live near me who are bi/gay/lesbian. So I thought it might be cool to meet some people.

Hi all. I just me. A bisexual guy from Warren just looking to meet some new people and such. I love to read, write, play video games and just be a big geek. I enjoy spending time with my cats and I have problems getting out and socializing most of the time. I like to people watch and just...be around people when I am able.

I hope to meet lots of nice friends here :D

perhaps now would be a good time to start getting acquainted with each other. i've noticed some more people have joined, but nobody has said anything. (!!) so, i'll start with me.

i'm chris. i'm freshly 21, i live in swartz creek, which is somewhere between flint and flushing. i steal lots of music. not all of it though; if i can find it on vinyl, that usually means i have to have it. vinyl justifies $10 a lot more to me than a dinky cd in a jewel case. i know solarii in real life. for like, 6 years. uhhhh. you can find my picture and a lot of other disinteresting junk here. FUSE-IN DETROIT [22 May 2005|09:49am]

(It's hard to start a community without post-whoring.)

This coming Memorial Day Weekend(tm) May 28-30, Fuse-In will be happening in Detroit. Those of you not familiar with Fuse-In (or, DEMF, Movement, Tech-Fest, etc) should be deferred here. (It pleases to be opening in a new window.) ANYWAY, for those in the know about electronic music, they should know that the lineup this year is excellent, featuring the return of Green Velvet, Legowelt, Bangkok Impact, Orgue Electronique, Richie Hawtin, et cetera. To everyone else, basically this is a three-day excursion into the heart of Detroit, filled with beats and feets. About 50% of the festival will be populated with somewhat dim, somewhat slutty, but otherwise totally decently cute gaywads, generally in the raver and scene-kid models, respectively. (respectively?) If you can find time that weekend, you should definitely come out for a day or two. There is a charge this year of $25 for the weekend, or $10 per single day. Hopefully this charge brings the festival a little more prestiege, and keeps out the unwanteds (read: troublemakers) this year. (and, hopefully, the dancing bums are able to get in for free. Otherwise, I'm hunting down that legless one in a wheelchair that throws himself at the ground and breakdances, and I'm paying for him.)

Directions: Northern Michigan: Take I-75 South to Jefferson Ave., turn Right, follow road until you start to freak out about the clausterophobic amount of buildings, watch to your left for a large building with full glass paneling on the side. (This is Cobo Arena.) Keep left on the side of this building until you find a swirly ramp leading straight up. (Don't pass it or you'll end up on the expressway.) Take a greenlit ramp up to the parking area. (At this point, you park, and start walking.) Go through the building to the elevator (or stairs) to the 1st floor, walk out the front, follow everyone else.
Sourthern Michigan: Reverse directions until on Jefferson Ave, or alternatively, map. (It's hard to give directions since the Hart Plaza has no address.)

Hope to see you there!
